Communion Sunday

The Ministry of Parenthood

In this mother's day message, brother Greg leads the congregation to a proper understanding of the role of parents in the lives of their children. 

Faith Factor

Greg Smith challenges the congregation to step out and be people of faith.
Note: before and after the sermon is a short drama involving two couples.  The first do not go to church and the man sits on a couch changing channels, unattentive to his wife, while she shares with him about her day.  The second couple is a Christian couple that attends FBC Brazoria.  The wife talks to the husband while he reads his bible unattentive to his wife's words.  The drama at the end only involves the church going couple.

Greg Smith teaches the congregation that we are each individually unique and equiped for the ministry God has called us to do. 

Ministry... who, me?

Greg Smith challenges the congregation to stretch their understanding of ministry to include their walk, life and mission beyond the church and our programs.  Following the thought process of Ephesians 2:1-10 Greg explains that we were brought to life in Christ so that we might do ministry.

Question and Answer Night 4, 2008

John answers "how do we know God is telling us the truth about himself?"  And "what does it mean when it says the dead in Christ will rise first at the second coming when compared to 'today you will be with me in paradise?'"  Next week the congregation will return to our study of the book of I John.

God's Vission, Live It

Greg Smith continues to outline God's vission for the church and its people.  He explains that we need to live in the revelation of God.

The Song of Songs

John examines american dating and then moves to take look at the song of solomon chapters 4,5, and 8.  Through the Song of Solomon John explains what kind of man or woman the students aught to aspire to become for their future spouse.

God's Vission, Catch It

Greg Smith teaches the congregation at FBC Brazoria what it means to grasp God's vission as a church.  Examining Proverbs, Greg shows that it is the revelation of God that is required in order for a people not to perish.

D-Now session 4

Travis Cardwell, Shepherding Pastor at Baptist Church of the Redeemer, leads the youth through an understanding of the New Testament in light of what he has already covered in Genesis 1-3.  D-now is a special once a year weekend long event including a guest speaker and a guest musician.
